Triumph and Team Spirit: Barrett Reigns Supreme at Sacred Heart Athletics Carnival
On Friday, 28th July 2023, the vibrant atmosphere at Ken Brown Oval was electrified with cheers and enthusiasm as Sacred Heart Athletics Carnival took centre stage. The day was filled with fierce competitions in various events, including sprints, shotput, high jump, standing long jump, vortex throw, relays, and tug of war. A scrumptious hot dog lunch thoughtfully provided by Ms. Chi Fujii helped fuel participants’ energy.
In a historic moment, Barrett triumphed, securing the championship for the first time in years. This remarkable feat was made possible not only by the exceptional performance of the athletes but also by the unwavering support and dedication of the school’s staff, parents, and friends, who worked tirelessly to set up and ensure the carnival’s resounding success. The day celebrated athletic achievements and forged stronger bonds of unity and friendship within the Sacred Heart community, leaving a lasting and cherished memory for everyone involved.

We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Kaurareg people, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our school is built, the first to meet, learn, and celebrate here. We honour their enduring custodianship and the care they continue to give to this place. We respect their history and stories, which continue to sustain and inspire all who call this place home. We turn to God, Creator of all, who gives us strength and wisdom, guiding us to discern and pursue a better way in all that we do.
